Fall Schedule

Fall schedule will begin Monday, August 17th. 
All Specialty classes will begin Tuesday, September 1st.

Our studio hours for the 2009/2010 school year are as follows:

Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays   3:00-5:30pm
Tuesdays and Wednesdays                 1:30-5:30

Description

 
  This is just a fun time to creatively explore, whether it be pointing, drawing, wood crafts, glass staining or mask making, you name it! We call these classes 'Open Studio', for it is a little bit of everything! 'Open' to whatever they are in the mood to try! Some students choose to begin pointing on canvas, while others may be enticed by  the beauty of creating a glass stain project! Their choice!
 
We have several teachers working with the students to guide and share techniques in the layout of their painting, choice of brushes to create an effect and best paints and mediums to use for the best results. We encourage the students to truly explore and discover their hidden gifts as artists.

The typical age of the student is between 5-12 years old, but we begin at age 4. Most of our older students, or those who have done Open Studio for a while, move on to many of the Specialty Classes. This is a great class to get acquainted with the Studio and our wonderful Staff. You may choose an hour class, or a three-hour class, whatever you feel your child will feel comfortable with. Come have some 'artful' fun in a fun and friendly atmosphere!!!
 
All 'Open Studio' classes on the previous page are listed as one-hour classes, but one and a half and two-hour classes are very common. Monthly enrollment is required. You may arrange for (3) make up classes per school year. We do not give credit for missed classes.
 
'Class  Cards' may also be used all year. The Class Card is great if you have a very full schedule and need flexibility. We just mark off your hours as you use them. Multiple family members and your guests may use these cards. There is an expiration date on the cards. Three months for an 8 hr. card, and six months for a 12 or 18 hr. card. With a Class Card, you must call ahead to schedule your class, or if you are choosing a particular day each week, please call ahead if you know you will miss a class. This is very important for us in our scheduling of teachers and assistants, as well as seating for our wonderful students!
