FAQs
How are classes organized?
Our classes are set up on a monthly basis. Monthly enrollment assures your child's place for each lesson.
Does my child have to start classes at the beginning of the month?
No. A new student can enroll at any point in the month and lessons will be scheduled for the four following consecutive weeks following enrollment.
Is there an age requirement for children attending classes?
All of our classes are recommended for children age four and older.
Is there an enrollment fee?
Yes. A one time enrollment fee of $10.00 is required at the time of registration.
How are tuition costs billed?
Tuition costs are billed monthly and are due at the first of each month. A $15.00 Late Fee will apply after the 5th and will be billed the following month.
Are there additional charges for materials used in classes?
There is an additional charge for materials such as wood crafts, canvas, silk, clay specialty products and miscellaneous supplies. All materials will be billed at the end of the month. Students are welcome to bring their own materials at any time. A paint charge may apply. We make every attempt to keep competitively priced supplies on hand.
What is the policy on missed classes?
Throughout the school year, we offer three make-up classes. Please call us at (707) 584-8220 to find out what days are available for make-ups. If you know that your child will miss more than two classes in a row, please call ahead to make special arrangements, otherwise the tuition is to be paid in full by the end of the month.
Do you work with students who want to submit artwork to local fairs?
Yes. Every year Scribbles and Giggles works with our student's to select their best work for display at the Sonoma-Marin, Sonoma County, and State Fairs. Those pieces that qualify are formally submitted, delivered before, and picked up after the event by S&G on behalf of the student. We usually submit over 200 items each year, and our students are typically ribbon winners. This photo shows student work submitted to the 2004 Sonoma County Fair.
